Numerical Investigation of the Evolution of Gas and Coal Spontaneously Burned Composite Disaster in the Goaf of Steeply Inclined Coal Seam

As the coal mine gets deeper and stopes’ structures become more complex, gas spontaneously burned composite disaster seriously threatens efficient operation of mines. To study interaction process disaster-causing mechanism spontaneous combustion (GCSC), this paper establishes a numerical model to influence drilling location/pressure N2 injection on evolution in goaf. The simulation shows that central part goaf, combined area poses possibility calamity, length compound is about 20 m. methane (CH4) explosion zone dioxygen(O2) temperature rise do not overlap air entrance roadway return roadway, indicating there no risk disasters. optimal nitrogen (N2) rate for working face 2000 m3/h, port should be located 25 m profound into which can effectively drive diffusion narrow O2 zone’s breadth. findings have considerable engineering applications revealing process, assessment control GCSC disasters
